Collection & delivery
We collect from one address and deliver to another, with collection arranged at a time that suits you.
Overview
We collect from one address and deliver to another — a seller, a supplier, a workshop, a relative's house. You do not need to be present at both ends as long as somebody is there to hand the item over and receive it.
Benefits
- Collection arranged for a time that suits the sender
- Useful when the sender and recipient are in different places
- Contact details confirmed at both ends before the job
- Works for one-off collections and repeat runs
Who it suits
- Marketplace buyers collecting from a seller
- Businesses collecting stock from a supplier
- Anyone arranging a delivery on someone else's behalf
Collect from there, deliver to here
Plenty of jobs are not really deliveries — they are collections. You have bought something and the seller will not post it. A supplier has stock ready but no driver. A piece of equipment needs to come back from a site. Someone else is sending you something and cannot get to a post office.
You do not have to be at either address yourself, as long as somebody is there to hand the item over and somebody is there to receive it.
How collections are arranged
- You give us the collection address and a contact name and number for that address
- We agree a collection window that works for whoever is handing the item over
- We confirm what the item is, so the right vehicle and handling are planned
- The item is collected, checked and loaded
- We deliver to the second address and confirm it has arrived
Details that make collections go smoothly
Most failed collections come down to missing information rather than anything going wrong on the road. The things worth telling us in advance: parking restrictions, gate or barrier codes, whether the item is upstairs, whether there is a lift, whether the person handing it over knows to expect us, and whether the item will be packed and ready.
Please note. Collection times are agreed in advance and depend on route and booking availability. If the item is not ready at the agreed time, a second journey may be needed.
Questions about collection and delivery
Yes, as long as the seller knows we are coming and the item is ready. Give us their name, address and phone number.
No, but somebody must be there to hand the item over. Tell us who to expect.
Often, yes, depending on the route and the timings. Ask us when you request your quote.
We will call you. If the item cannot be collected, a second journey may be required and that would be quoted separately.
Need a courier you can rely on?
Tell us what needs collecting and where it needs to go, and we will come back to you with a quote.
