Fewer hands on your parcel
A parcel sent through a large network is loaded, sorted, moved between depots, sorted again and loaded onto a final van. Every one of those steps is a chance for damage or delay. With a courier, the parcel is collected, carried in the van, and delivered.
That matters most for parcels that are large, fragile, unusually shaped or simply too important to risk.

Parcel sizes and weights
We carry parcels in a van, so we can take items that most parcel networks will refuse. What we can take on a particular day depends on the vehicle, the load already booked and whether the item can be handled safely.
Rather than publishing limits that might not fit your situation, we ask for the approximate dimensions and weight at the quote stage and confirm before you book.

Packing a parcel properly
Good packing is the cheapest insurance there is. Use a box that is the right size rather than a big one padded out. Wrap fragile items individually, not as a group. Fill the gaps so nothing shifts. Tape all the seams. Put the delivery address inside the parcel as well as on it, and take the old labels off if you are reusing a box.
Please note. Some items cannot be carried by road couriers, including hazardous, prohibited and restricted goods. Describe your item when you request a quote and we will confirm whether we can carry it.
